How did you do that??

I get asked a LOT how to do eye liner on the top lash line. SO here is your own personal guide, broken down to help you do it yourself!

Step 1: Just your bare eye. I like to prime mine with a shadow/eye primer. It helps the color last and helps with smudges, plus it gives your eyes a nice neutral base.
(Eye primer's: I like the NYC, E.L.F. brands from the drug store and Target and then I
like the eye primer from Lancome, that would be one of your higher end brands)

Step 2: Take your liquid or cream eye liner, (those work the best for this look) draw a line that starts from the corner of your bottom lash line and pull it up.

  • Side note: Some times it helps getting an even line if you gently pull the skin at the corner of your eye to make it smooth.
Step 3: Take the tip of the line you drew in step 2 and pull it down to the center if your eye. You can go from the center of your eye and move up ward, so long as you meet at the top to create a nice point.

Step 4: Fill in the space between the lines. This is where using a gel or liquid liner really comes in handy.

Step 5: Work over the top of the line you drew to the middle of your eye, you want to build it up into a curved shape that fits your eyes and not keep a harsh line. Then pull the line into the inner corner of your eye, following along the natural curve of your eye. You want to keep the liner thin in the inner corner of your eye and thick on the outer.

Step 6: Fill in the line you created along the lash line and fix any mistakes. Make sure all the lines meet and match.

BONUS TIP!
Using a colored eye liner when doing this step eliminates the need for eye shadow and adds a bold different twist to the classic look.

Some fun colors and trends this season:

  • Cobalt blue
  • Gold
  • Purple
  • Teal
  • Lime
  • Brown
If you are looking for some of the better eye liner's here's some of my favorites:

  • NYC Liquid eye liner in black. The brush is an actual small hair brush, like a mini nail polish brush. It helps when filling and making lines.
  • Maybline Line Stiletto in black. The tip of this one is felt but it never gets hard or dried out
  • T.I.G.I BedHead khol liner in black. This product is a little harder to find, you can't buy it in a drug store or department store BUT the pencil lasts forever and the color is so vivid, it lasts forever too. A similar product I've found that resembles this pencil is from PIXI at Target, they have a 24 hour eye pencil and it's black is just as vivid as mine and last as long, however the Target pencil is more expensive then the Bed Head.

Now go try out your new liner look!

What's there to do on a Thursday night...?

Go on a shopping spree to Macy's! My mother and I went to Macy's tonight and what did I happen to find...
It was gift week at the Clinque counter!

Bag Number 1:

I bought this little pink box that has this cute purple bag inside that is FULL of make up! The collection is called Black Tie Violets.

It comes with the Colour Surge Eye Shadow Palette.
 - There is a deep purple shade, a taupe shade, crystal berry, and soft pink.

Then we have the Cream Shaper For Eyes in limited Mink.
High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara in Extreme Black.
Bottom Lash Mascara in Black.
Chubby Stick Lip Colour Balm in Woppin Watermelon.
And!
Mosture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

That was what I bought, it cost about $40 which isn't bad considering what you're getting!

So then as my GIFT

BAG NUMBER 2:
I got all this for FREE! Gotta love that, right?!? This is a 7 piece gift set, there is a smaller bag that matches the bigger one but that's in my new purse!

So this one comes with another Colour Surge Eye Shadow duo in Blackberry Frost and Slate.

Then there is Clinique Take The Day Off make up remover.
Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. It's oil free which I love!
High Impact Mascara in black.

AND the lip colour that I love.. It looks dramatic but is very sheer!

                                     BLACK HONEY!

I can't wait to use all this! I can't believe all the stuff I got for just $40! It's a great buy and these colors are all just perfect for fall.

Happy shopping all!

Curl up and dye?

Do you ever see those commercials for mascara that promise to increase the length of your lashes, make them fuller, or even the ones that promise to make your lashes actually grow! I'm going to give you my top 5 mascara's that keep those promises.

1, Lancome - Hypnose Doll Lashes

This product has a smaller tip at the top of the brush for better reach in your outer and inner corners of your eye. The formula creates a longer and natural curl to your lashes.

Pro: It doesn't leave your lashes with big clumps or glues your lashes together! It keeps each lash coated and separated.
Con: It is a product only available in a department store or a store like Sephora. You can't buy this at your local drug store which makes this product a bit pricey.

2. Loreal Paris - Extra Volume Collagen (In blackest black)
A great mascara for all day wear, leaving no clumps or flakes on your lashes and face. A revolutionary lash-plumping technology with hydra-collagen for breathtaking volume and incredible wear.
Pro: Clump-free, Flake-free, Smudge-free, Ophthalmologist & allergy tested, and ssuitable for sensitive eyes & contact lens wearers.
Cons: The brush is a bit thick so it's easy to hit your skin and possibly ruin the make up job you just did, take caution while applying.

3. Maybeline - Illegal Length

The real brush helps to pull your lashes and create a longer, fuller lash. THEN the Fiber Extensions actually make your lashes longer by .4mm! It's not a dramatic effect but it is noticeable!
Pro: It curls and lengthens your lashes like none of the other reviewed mascara's, though it is a fiber extending formula the lashes don't ever look clumped together.
Con: The extensions can fall from your lashes. Try not to mess with your lashes to much. Keep some powder handy to clean up any messes and using a primer mascara can help keep the fibers in place.
4. Loreal Paris-  Double Extends

The white end, aka the primer helps to create a elongated lash and coats it to give your lashes a perfect curl and separation of lashes. Then the red end, the color of choice, gives your lashes the full, sealed lash you need.
Pro: The primer can be used with any mascara!
Con: This product doesn't last to long, I found it can dry out easily.
5. Revlon - Grow Luscious
What I love about this product is that the tip of it curves in to create a smaller brush and get the inner and otter corner lashes with out flaw. The brush its self is thick and helps the lashes have a fuller and longer look. The formula it's self is created to actually grow your lashes with more applications. I used this product for a while and noticed that it did grow my lashes.
Pro: More luscious lashes in a save way, that is allergy tested.
Con: It took a long time to start to notice.. So don't give up on the product.. It will take a view weeks.

There you have it! My top 5 mascara's!
